The fall colors in Inakadate didn't last too long. For a few days, they were quite grand, but then suddenly winter-like weather came. The rain fell and strong wind blew. And of course, with that the leaves quickly disappeared.
しかし、先週の美しい紅葉はあまり長く続くことはしませんでした。何日間かは大変立派でしたが、その後、冬らしい天気が突然来ました。ひどい雨と一緒に強い風が吹きました。そして、それに耐えきれず、葉っぱがすぐに落ちてしまいました。

Here in Inakadate it was rain, but when the rain stopped and the clouds cleared, it was clear that it hadn't been rain everywhere. All the mountains surrounding Inakadate were covered with white. From here the ski slopes at the top of Owani Ski Resort were visible as well as big parts of a white Mt. Iwaki.
ここの田舎館では、降った物は雨でしたが、雨がやんで、雲が上がったら、他では雨が降っていなかったことが分かりました。この周りの山々が全面的に真っ白となっていました。ここから、大鰐スキー場の頂上も岩木山も見えますが、両方とも白い幕がかかっていました。


Of course, this was only the first of many snowfalls. From what I have heard and can see, I am sure Inakadate will be completely buried in snow in no time. But today was the first!
もちろんのことですが、これは今冬のたくさん降る雪の一回目に過ぎません、僕が見たり、聞いたりしている限り、知らないうちに、田舎館とこの周辺は雪に埋まっているでしょうという感じです。しかし今日はファーストでした。
